Healthy Change = Meals + Nutrition
Feeling bloated, sluggish, and a little heavier after the big break is perfectly normal. To get back on track, we typically make a new meal + fitness plan - this plan is mainly focused on cleaning out and rebooting the body. Everyone's different and our preferences are different as well. Here are a few different plans from the team at Lifestyle Juicery.
THE "SLOW & EASY"
Build a meal plan that mainly includes fruits and vegetables for at least ⅔ of the meals in a day. (we do it for breakkie & lunch). Here are some of our really easy and simple fuss-free recipes that we love. Light, refreshing and nutrient dense meals that are easy to prepare.
THE DINNER REPLACEMENT
Dinner is often the meal most people overeat at - there’s just something about tucking into our comfort food after a day of hard work. Plan ahead and avoid over eating by juicing for dinner. We recommend nutmilks & raw juices (Juice & Nutmilk Menu: Malaysia, Thailand) - they are great meal replacement that’s not lacking in nutrients! Then, enjoy a pot of hot ginger tea or peppermint tea (calming, soothing and curbs cravings!) after dinner.
Fasting is the best way to give your system a total reboot and a cleanse - you can opt for the traditional water fast, our juice cleanses, or the 5:2 fast! Check these out and choose any that best suits you. Fasting is one of the best ways to refresh your body, mind and soul. We find that we will feel revitalized, and inspired to continue eating clean and staying fit after a period of fasting.
In addition to eating clean, staying active is key to feeling good! Exercising releases dopamine which in a nutshell is our “happy chemical”. ;-) It makes you happy, eases stress, anxiety and keep you energized! It is sure to give your system and body the boost that it needs after the feasting sessions. It’s always harder to get back to your routine (getting to the gym, weekly hikes, morning swim, etc) after a break, so start with simple exercises at home or in your room! You just need 5minutes, by the end of it you will feel so good, you’ll be sprinting to your local gym the very next day! Perfect way to get you started or when you just have no time in the day.
We hope these simple tips, suggestions and recipes will help you get back on track. Feel free to speak to us anytime if you would like to learn more about any of the above - we are always happy to be of help in your journey to health and wellness.
